Starkey Warranty Extension from 2 to 5 years - outside the EU

Starkey's hearing aid warranty is 2 years. During this period, repair costs are covered and there are no costs associated with the repair, unless the device has been misused.
If desired, you can extend the warranty to 5 years. In case of a defect, you can go to a local audiologist for repair. We will then reimburse the repair costs and any service costs after consultation and providing a quote.

If you don't have a warranty, what are the costs for a repair?
For hearing aids that are not older than 5 years, we will prepare a customized quote that includes the repair costs. These costs are usually €145 per repair, excluding shipping costs and customs clearance costs. However, it is important to note that if the device has become defective due to misuse, higher costs may apply. If your hearing aid is older, we kindly request that you contact us by phone for a customized quote.

At Onlinehoortoestel.nl we offer the possibility to take out 3 years extra warranty for an amount of €199,-. This makes the costs less than a repair!

What is covered under the warranty?
The warranty covers all defects to the hearing aid itself (not the accessories). These defects will be repaired free of charge. In the event of a defect, please contact us. If we cannot resolve the defect with you remotely, we advise you to visit a local hearing care professional. We will then ask you to request a quote for the repair costs and submit it to us. In consultation, we will reimburse you for the costs.

Why not send hearing aids in for repair?
Sending hearing aids from outside the EU and vice versa is, due to the clearance costs and procedure at customs, a costly and lengthy process. By having your hearing aids locally, you are best served.

Please note that the warranty is valid from the original purchase date of the hearing aids.
